RETREATS & EXPERIENCES
Our first Permission to Be retreat, Sensing Our Sorrow, took place September 26–27, 2026.
A small gathering in nature with space for grief, rest, movement, sound, creativity, nourishing food, conversation, quiet and connection.
And we're making room for more.
Throughout 2027, Permission to Be will offer intimate, thoughtfully facilitated retreats in the beautiful Creemore/Clearview countryside.
Each gathering offers an opportunity to step away from the demands of everyday life, reconnect with yourself, and explore what it means to simply be.

GRIEF WALKS
Giving Grief Somewhere to Go.
Grief doesn't always need a chair, a circle or a conversation.
Sometimes it needs fresh air. A little movement. The company of others who understand that there's nothing to fix.
Our Grief Walks offer gentle, facilitated opportunities to make room for loss, remembrance, reflection and connection.
There's no expectation to share, no particular pace to keep, and no right way to grieve.

At Permission to Be, we believe that transformation begins the moment you allow yourself to show up. Fully, freely, unapologetically. The only permission you need permission from, is yourself.
ABOUT THE VENUE
Retreats
Tucked between forest and river in the heart of Creemore, Ontario there is a sanctuary. A space that is both rooted in nature and designed for possibility. Where towering trees, the gentle curve of a river, and a gracious stillness and quiet that allow clarity to rise. It feels like a deep breath. Every corner of this “pocket of peace,” from forest pathways to open-air gathering spaces, has been intentionally co-created with nature, to offer immersive experiences that awaken the senses. It is a one-of-a-kind environment that greets you exactly as you are, and offers you permission to spark something new, slow down, or connect deeply.
Welcome to Your Little Pocket of Peace.
