Because grief deserves more than a place to hide.

Grief isn't reserved for death.

It can arrive through the loss of a relationship, a role, a sense of belonging, a version of ourselves, or a future we imagined.

Some losses are recognized and supported. Others go unnamed, unacknowledged, or quietly carried.

MAKING ROOM FOR GRIEF

Grief is a natural response to loss. But that doesn't mean we always know what to do with it.

TEARFULL is an eight-week, grief-informed somatic experience that creates space for the many ways we live with loss.

Through gentle movement, embodied awareness, reflection, shared exploration, and meaningful choice, we'll explore how grief shows up in our bodies, our relationships, and our everyday lives.

Not to fix it. Not to rush it. And certainly not to tell you how to grieve.

But to make room for what is here, what has changed, and what may still be possible.

There is no right way to grieve. And you don't have to navigate it alone.

EIGHT WEEKS. SPACE FOR WHAT YOU CARRY.

Over eight weeks, we'll explore different dimensions of grief, loss, and our relationship with ourselves and others.

Each gathering offers an invitation to notice, reflect, express, and connect through conversation, somatic exploration, and shared experience.

These aren't stages to complete or steps toward getting over grief. They're opportunities to discover what feels meaningful and supportive along the way.

WHAT TO EXPECT

TEARFULL is a small-group experience where you are invited to explore grief in ways that feel meaningful and manageable for you.

Each 90-minute gathering may include guided reflection, gentle somatic practices, optional conversation, creative exploration, and opportunities for connection.

You won't be asked to share more than you wish, explain or justify your loss, or participate in anything that doesn't feel right for you.

There is room to speak. Room to listen. Room to be quiet.

You may choose to participate, observe, pause, or simply notice what is happening for you.

Our intention is to create a compassionate, respectful environment where grief can be acknowledged without comparison, expectation, or pressure to change.

You are welcome as you are, with whatever you carry.

This is a grief-informed educational and experiential group, not psychotherapy or a substitute for individualized mental health care.

MEET YOUR FACILITATOR

Andrea DelZotto
Founder, Permission to Be

I've had my share of grief. Some of it came with condolences, flowers, and people who knew exactly why I was hurting.

And some of it didn't.

I've grieved people I've lost, relationships that ended, roles I thought I'd have forever, and versions of my life I never imagined having to let go of. I've also learned that grief doesn't always look like sadness. Sometimes it looks like anger, confusion, exhaustion, relief, or wondering who the hell you are now that something you counted on is gone. And sometimes, the world doesn't even recognize what you're experiencing as a loss.

That's part of why TEARFULL exists.

Through Permission to Be, I bring together grief and bereavement education, somatic practices, trauma-sensitive yoga, and coaching. My training with Dr. Alan Wolfelt, particularly his approach to companioning rather than fixing people in grief, deeply informs my work.

I don't believe training gives me the answers to someone else's grief. And having experienced loss certainly doesn't make me an expert in yours. What I bring is curiosity, compassion, a little humour when there's room for it, and a belief that we need more places where people can talk about what hurts without someone rushing to make them feel better.

I don't believe every loss happens for a reason, that everything needs a silver lining, or that grief follows a tidy little timeline.

I believe grief deserves room.

Room to be understood. Room to be felt. Room to be expressed. And sometimes, room to simply be witnessed. That's what I hope we can create together through TEARFULL.
A place where you don't have to convince anyone that what you've lost matters.

Because it does.
